Everything About Oscars 2024: See Winners List

Oscars 2024

From Emma Stones’ super duper performance to Oppenheimer bagging seven awards, the Oscars 2024 was an unforgettable night full of fun, entertainment, and even serious geopolitical content.

Big Shows At Oscars 2024

Oscars 2024 has many moments that deserve to be cherished even after the night has passed. Here are some of the talk of the nights that you can’t miss:-

John Cena and Nudity

John Cena’s unique way of presenting the awards being nearly nude and covering his body with a big envelope has the name of the winner trolled immensely on social media. This was a very strategic move to show the importance of costume while presenting the best costume design award to “Poor Things”.

Oppenheimer, the Winner

Christopher Nolan’s biographical thriller “Oppenheimer” dominated the 96th Academy Awards, winning seven awards, including Best Picture. The film received awards for Best Director (Christopher Nolan), Best Actor (Cillian Murphy), and Best Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr.).

After three decades in the industry, Robert Downey Jr. won his first Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in “Oppenheimer.” He dedicated the award to his wife Susan Downey and thanked the film’s director and cast.

Emma Stone, the Best Actress

Comcast Corp’s Universal Pictures also stole the light of the night after Oppenheimer.

Bagging her second win at the Oscars, Emma Stone got the Best Actress for her role as Bella Baxter in Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things. In 2017, she won her first Best Actress Award for “La La Land” in 2017.

The night was not without flaws which were beautifully embraced, as Emma told in her speech that her dress got torn perhaps during Ryan Gosling’s ‘I’m Just Ken’ performance. However, it was immediately sewn back. This song from the Oscar-nominated movie ‘Barbie’ was the greatest moment during the Oscars 2024.

Tribute to the Indian Entertainment Industry

Directed by S.S. Rajamouli, RRR Clips were showcased as a tribute to Indian movies and gained the wide attention of the spectators.

The Oscars paid tribute to art designer Nitin Chandrakant Desai in the ‘In Memoriam’ segment. Desai, known for his work on movies like “Lagaan” and “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam,” passed away in 2023.
